Our Mission
We have created Warrnambool Islamic Society with a mission to serve Warrnambool and neighboring communities by service, education and empower community based on Islamic principles of compassion, unity and justice. We are not for profit organization.
Community services:
Our commitment is to serve our local communities regardless of race, religion, background with generosity and kindness of very Islamic values with provision of a safe place to network and to perform their religious duties and obligations.
Education:
Our aim is to educate communities with the knowledge and understandings of Islamic teaching, promotion of peace, tolerance and dialogue.
Community Empowerment:
We aim to help communities by helping develop and foster sense of togetherness, social cohesion and collaborating with partners for promotion of stability, education, and healthcare and thus create positive impact.
Social Justice:
We stand against injustice, inequalities, and advocate for the rights of less privileged and less fortunate and create a forum to raise voice for more just and equitable society.
Build bridges:
We aim to help develop understanding and cooperation among our diverse communities. We embrace diversity and use it as our strength and create a community where everyone is respected, valued and supported.
